Meet Dr Nerida McGilchrist B Rur Sc (Hon1) PhD

Dr. Nerida McGilchrist (formerly Dr. Nerida Richards) is a leading Australian equine nutritionist with a Ph.D. in equine nutrition and more than two decades of experience helping horses thrive. As the founder of Equilize Horse Nutrition and creator of the nutrition tool FeedXL, she’s built an international reputation for blending science with practical solutions.

Trusted by the world’s leading feed and supplement companies, trainers and breeders, Dr Nerida is now bringing her expertise to MyHappy.Horse, a virtual equine nutritionist app designed to make advanced nutrition accessible to every horse owner. 

When she’s not working, you’ll find Nerida riding with her kids or in outback Australia with her partner Ryan. Nerida’s purpose is simple: to honour her lifelong love for horses and leave the world a better place for all of our beautiful equines

Meet Dr Kurt Enzinger BSc (Hons) BVSc

Kurt graduated from the University of Melbourne after completing a Bachelor of Science with honours in Equine Reproduction in 1998, then a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2002. Kurt spent a few years in mixed animal practice before pursuing his passion for horses, working in two reputable equine hospitals and maintaining a strong focus on reproduction. Kurt returned home to start Elite Equine in February 2009. In August 2010 Kurt and his wife Kylie acquired Emerald Veterinary Clinic, a small animal practice to cater for all species.

Kurt has a special interest in equine reproduction including embryo transfer, equine podiatry and equine dentistry. He has completed to postgraduate equine veterinary dentistry courses, numerous equine podiatry courses and attended the International Symposium of Equine Reproduction in New Zealand.

At home Kurt enjoys playing with his kids, tending to his property (usually involving a chainsaw or tractor) and his favourite pastime is skiing...... either on water or snow!
